Had to write and tell you how much your artistry means to me
Dear Eashan,
I see many images related to Carl’s life and work, but yours touched me deeply.
It said to me that yes, we do have a future and we will go to those places that he inspired us to dream about.
And when we get there, even if it’s in the distant future,
Carl will still have some things to teach us.
It also worked for me on another level, reminding me of the passage in the original COSMOS and book, a thought prompted by the loss of a dear friend, Wolf Vishniac who perished while searching for extremophile life in Antarctica.
We wrote words to the effect that when we open new vistas on nature that were not visible to previous generations of science, we must see for them, also.
You made me feel that your astronaut was seeing for Carl, too.
